The Love/Earth Parallel

Sitting here, in the silence of night, everything seems so peaceful. The water calmly wading back and forth, a mother duck gathering her chicks by the lake as they prepare for nightfall. What else is there in life except love? Have you ever noticed the correlation of our world and love? Does the sun give light to the moon expecting something in return? Do the heavens provide rain for the earth with ulterior motives? How about the greenery on earth providing oxygen for all that breathes? Love is the one emotion that influences everything we do. We get up to go to work, why; to provide for our families that we love so dearly. We fight inner demons, why; so we can be better people for our loved ones. We make sacrifices, why; so the ones we love will not have to do without. It is an absolute profound feeling to know that the love you share with family and friends is truly unconditional, but should our love have limitations? Should we write off people who we don’t know or have wronged us? In this long journey of life, history will tell you that it is so much easier to turn your back on these people and seclude yourself from further disappointments. But why; what would happen if that cycle were to suddenly end? What would happen if the sun suddenly expected something back from the moon? What would happen if the heavens stop giving rain to the earth? Sure, things would be okay for a while, but what happens when "a while" runs its course? Our world as we know would cease to exist. The same can be said about love; we all say we give love but more times than not we EXPECT something in return. Sure we all have expectations, but we need to be able to separate the real expectations from the false. Creating false expectations will soon prove to be disastrous for your love and any relationship that you may have. Do not take love for granted, it will lead you into an oblivion from which you may never return. Be the sun and give your light to the many moons in your life, love unconditionally because you never know when you'll be the earth needing rain from the heavens above. Be a student, be a taker and giver of love. No matter how much love may hurt sometimes, never give up.
