Half and Half
A deep and tender inevitable feeling of affection towards a person, such as a rise in kinship, recognizing attractive qualities, or a sense of undeniable oneness; do you find yourself asking what this means? This is love, but do we all feel this, or do we only use half of our hearts? We as people are only capable of using up to twenty percent of our brain, so does that mean we are only capable of using a small percentage of our hearts? ABSOLUTLY NOT! As sure as you are reading this, you have the ability to love whole heartedly and not fake love as we tend to do sometimes. Could you imagine what this world would be like if just half of the human race loved whole heartedly? Would there homelessness? Would there be famine? Would there be wars? Let’s forget the world for a moment, focus on you and your life situation. Do you find where you could have loved a little bit more, a little bit harder, a little bit stronger? Could you have prevented a war that was being fought inside your relationship? Could you have worked it out? Could you have looked passed your differences and come back together? Or do you find yourself thinking it was a good thing, a life lesson that you’ve learned? Some say that life lessons are best learned in blood; I’m here to tell you that this philosophy does not always apply, is hurting someone for their own good really “good”? Can you really say that you are loving whole heartedly if you intentionally hurt someone? In a world of hatred and war, hurting someone you supposedly love is not going to be the answer. We should be able to rise to the occasion of love and be able to protect and avert all issues that endanger our hearts. When one loves with all their heart, all their being, nothing is impossible, you can overcome all. But…you must love, love with all your heart, love like you have never been hurt, love like it is your last day on earth or all is for nothing. So, I challenge you the reader to analyze yourself and determine if you have been using your whole heart to love.
